Jinhua Homestay Ambassador of Chinese Culture

On the evening of March 14, representatives of 18 consulates in Shanghai met on the banks of the Huangpu River and applauded the Seventh Session of the Jinhua Homestay project, which will take place from August 10-30 this year.

Zhang Daniel Hong, director of the Jinhua Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, said that the JH project, which is sponsored by the Jinhua Municipal People's Government, has become a major project for the city, as it has registered the presence of 247 international participants from 41 countries. Jinhua Becomes One of the “Youngest” Cities

According to the 2017 Youth Index of Cities in China released by the Tencent Big Data Technology Team, Jinhua, a third-tier city, was one of the “youngest” cities in China. Ranking second only to Shenzhen, Jinhua and Guiyang tied for second place.

The Index was based on QQ users aged 16 to 35, the existing proportion of young people in cities, and the 2016 Youth Index of Cities in China. To some extent, the Index reveals youth population distributions, displays how the youth have changed China, and answers the question, “Where have the youth gone?”

Pujiang's Old Streets' Project

On the morning of March 1, after thorough construction and preparation work, a newly rebuilt East Street was opened in Pujiang’s old town. It is only the first stage of the old streets’ protection project.

The grand opening was accompanied by joyful traditional performances. Many citizens and guests of the city arrived to the event with their friends and family.

Once the old streets’ protection project is successfully completed, the historic district will become a city name card and a destination for leisure tourism.
