Session 8 - Opening Ceremony

“The key to sound relations between states lies in the affinity between people, which largely stems from heart-to-heart exchanges.”

The 8th Session of Jinhua Homestay Project (Jinhua Mountain) is officially opened.

The opening ceremony was officially held at Lutian Academy. Thirty-eight university students from thirteen countries have travelled from afar to experience Chinese culture and bring youthful vitality to this beautiful place.

Session 8 – Long-anticipated arrival

Today, 38 participants from 13 countries finally arrived in the village. This year’s Jinhua Homestay is taking place in Lutian Village of Jinhua Mountain.

Hosting families were waiting for the bus at the main square of the village. After the long travel, happy and at the same time tired participants were excited to see their “homes” for the next two weeks. Every Home Plus warmly welcomed their guests with cozy rooms and home-cooked meals.

Everyone is extremely curios about the new place, new culture, new people, new food, and new experiences. Jinhua Homestay is happy to have you all here, #dearparticipantsofthe8session !

16 Volunteers Invited to Session 8 of Jinhua Homestay 2019

While our outstanding participants of Jinhua Homestay 2019 are getting ready for the next session (August 10-24), we are actively getting everything ready for their arrival.

An integral part of our project is our volunteers. Most of the volunteers are Chinese students who work hard to improve their English skills along with their professional skills. They are passionate about their own culture and want to help our participants get better experience of living in a historical village and learning about a new culture.

Our volunteers are looking forward to this amazing opportunity to make new friends from all over the world!

We hope you come here with an open mind, open heart, open will, and leave with many unforgettable memories and rich knowledge of Chinese culture!
