Lizu Village is located in the northwestern part of Yiwu. It is notable for its striking views of natural beauty and traditional Chinese buildings. The village is surrounded by a series of connected mountains, and has nurtured many large old trees that unwittingly cast their shade over the white walls, dark green tiles and footpaths in the fields. These distinctive landscape features jointly give the visitors a feeling of living in a tranquil Chinese painting.
The surrounding scenic landscapes are already popular tourist attractions in Yiwu. To the northeast of Lizu Village lies Desheng Rocks, while the crouching lion rocks situate to its north, Qizhai ridges to its west, Tiangong Mountain to its southwest and Jiantou ridges to its southeast.
Over the last few years, village developers have made efforts to promote economic opportunities within the area. They aim to develop it into a global cultural village where people from all around the globe can find a place of belonging. One of the driving forces toward this direction is the international startupers who are striving to bridge the village with other cultures in the world. This globalization effort is in accordance with the Belt and Road Initiative.
Lizu incorporates the international resources provided by Yiwu with its unique traditional culture. It’s a multicultural place where the local people are guaranteed chances to experience different cultures, and it is also a combination of Chinese and western cultures where many expats would feel at home.
