Three Jinhua Villages Became Famous!

The Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism announced

the list of key villages in the second batch of national rural tourism.

Three villages of Jinhua are on the list:

Wushi Village, Jianshan Town, Pan'an County

Huayuan Village, Nanma Town, Dongyang City

Xinguang Village, Yuzhai Town, Pujiang County

Wushi Village

    ​Wushi Village is one of the historical villages best preserved in Zhejiang Province. The entire village houses are walled with black basalt. It has been honored as China Historical and Cultural Village, National Civilized Village, Zhejiang Provincial Demonstration Village of Building a Moderately Prosperous Society in All Aspects, Zhejiang Provincial Rural Music Characteristic Village. Wushi is located in the high mountain platform more than 520 meters above sea level, and the average temperature in summer is 26℃. Cool and comfortable!

    Simple and elegant historical architectures are very well preserved there.

    Wushi Village combined traditional festivals and folk activities with local tourism, focusing on natural landscape, healthcare, farming, and culture. Three-days route, five-days route, and seven-days route are designed with high quality. The routes contain visits to the scenic spots, study of the ancient villages, the intangible opera show, medicinal foods, agricultural sightseeing and gardening. 

Huayuan Village

    Huayuan Village is the first village established as National AAAA Tourist Spot in Zhejiang Province. It was awarded by the State Ministry of Culture and Tourism as one of the first batch of “China's Top Ten Outstanding International Rural Tourism Destinations” and “Netizens’ Favorite Rural Tourism Destinations.”

    Jixiang Lake is located in the center of Huayuan Village. The shape of the lake looks like a silver ingot which gave it the name Jixiang, in Chinese it means “good luck and happiness.”

     Zhejiang Provincial Department of Agriculture and Countryside and Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism called Tianxiangwan Scenic Spot “the most beautiful garden.” At the scenic spot there is a wide variety of flowers (peach, pear, and plum blossoms, peonies, roses, Chinese roses, begonias, etc.).  There are also orchards and lawns at the scenic spot.

    In addition, there is a big number of parks and museums, including an ecological garden listed as the High Efficient Ecological Agriculture Demonstration Zone of Zhejiang Province; Buddhist Cultural Park; China Village Museum that displays the development of modern rural China; Folk Museum that reflects local folk culture; Huayuan Amusement Park which is a paradise for families with young children.

Xinguang Village

    Xinguang Village, located in the mountains, has a provincial highway road connecting Jiande City, Tonglu City and even Hangzhou City. It is listed as one of the first batch of Traditional Chinese Villages, Zhejiang Provincial Historic and Cultural Village, Beautiful Livable Model Village of Zhejiang Province, Characteristic Tourism Village of Zhejiang Province, Jinhua Ecological Village, and Beautiful Courtyard Construction Model Village of Pujiang County.

    Xinguang Village is famous for its Linyan Ancient Estate. The estate was built during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, with a history of over 270 years and an area of 15,000 square meters. It was named as The First Village of Jinhua as a part of Xianhua culture and subcenter of local Confucian culture in the middle and late Qing Dynasty.

    In addition to having small bridges and ancient buildings like in the most ancient villages, there is one unique feature - the village tourism maker base.

    In this base, young makers with dreams are settled. Dozens of characteristic projects, including geological science popularization, bark painting, confectionery, and carving inheritance. Beauty and creativity, classical and modern aspects are perfectly blended and integrated together in the base, which have produced wonderful reactions from the tourists in this village.
